The Federal Road Safety Corps has confirmed the death of six passengers in a road crash along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. Twenty-three others sustained injuries in the accident, which occurred near the Four Square Camp area in Ogun State.
The spokesperson of the FRSC in Ogun State, Odunsin Afolabi, said the incident happened at about 11:27 am and involved a DAF CF 380 trailer with registration number SNA 287 XA. He said a total of 29 people were involved, with rescue teams arriving at the scene within two minutes.

Mr Afolabi attributed the crash to fatigue and speeding, which led to loss of control by the driver. The injured and deceased were taken to Oreoluwa Hospital in Ogunmakin, GOFAMINT Camp, and Victory Hospital in Ogere, as the FRSC urged motorists to service vehicles regularly, avoid mixed loading and comply with road safety regulations.
