Former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, spent the night in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) after honouring the agency’s invitation believed to be related to his time as governor.
The update was confirmed in a statement published by his media aide, Muyiwa Adekeye.
According to him, Mr El-Rufai was cooperating with investigators as part of ongoing inquiries. Details of the allegations under review have yet to be fully disclosed.

The media aide described the initial interaction as “frank and fruitful”.
