EFCC Declares Chinese National Wanted Over Alleged Fraud

EFCC Declares Chinese National Wanted Over Alleged Fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared a Chinese national, Peiyuan Niu, wanted over an alleged case of obtaining money by false pretence. The announcement was made in a public notice issued on Tuesday by the commission’s spokesperson, Dele Oyewale.

According to the anti-graft agency, the suspect is 40 years old and his last known address is 111 Kudirat Abiola Way, Oregun, Lagos State. The EFCC said Niu is wanted in connection with an ongoing investigation into alleged financial fraud.

The commission called on members of the public who may have useful information about the suspect’s whereabouts to contact any EFCC office across the country. The agency also advised that such information can be reported to the nearest police station or other security agencies.

The EFCC said tips can also be sent through its official telephone line or email address as part of efforts to locate the suspect and advance the investigation. The agency reiterated its commitment to tackling financial crimes and bringing suspects to justice.
