The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has returned about N387 million recovered from fraud to the Jigawa State Government. The funds were handed over as part of efforts to restore stolen public assets.
Officials of the anti-graft agency said the money was recovered through investigations into financial crimes linked to the state. The commission noted that asset recovery remains a key part of its mandate.
The EFCC said the returned funds are expected to be used for public development projects in Jigawa State. Authorities emphasised the importance of accountability in the management of public resources.
