Nigerian artistes have recorded major wins at the 2026 Music of Black Origin Awards, with Wizkid and Ayra Starr among the top honourees at the ceremony held in Manchester in the United Kingdom.
Ayra Starr was named Best International Act for the second consecutive year, becoming the first African artiste in 16 years to achieve back-to-back victories in the category. Wizkid won Best African Music Act, ahead of other Nigerian nominees including Davido, Rema and Tiwa Savage.
The 30th anniversary edition of the awards took place on Tuesday at the Co-op Live Arena, marking the first time the event has been hosted in Manchester.

Elsewhere, British singer Olivia Dean won three awards, including Album of the Year and Song of the Year, while Niko Omilana was named Best Media Personality and producer P2J received the Best Producer award.
