A former Minister of Interior and National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress, Rauf Aregbesola, has criticised President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda, describing it as ineffective and urging him to resign. He made the remarks on Tuesday at the party’s national convention in Abuja.
Aregbesola said the administration had failed to deliver on key promises, particularly in electricity supply, economic management and general welfare. He stated that power supply remains inconsistent, with some areas experiencing prolonged outages.
He also raised concerns about the economy, citing the depreciation of the naira and rising fuel prices, which he said have increased the cost of living. He added that transport costs have made commuting difficult for many Nigerians.
