Cryptocurrency entrepreneur Linus Ifejirika, popularly known as Blord, has alleged that his recent arrest and detention were politically motivated and linked to his personal political choices. He made the claim shortly after his release from custody, where he had been held over allegations including criminal conspiracy and impersonation.
Blord was arrested in early April and remanded at the Kuje Correctional Centre in Abuja before being granted bail by the Federal High Court. He was later released and received a welcome from supporters at the Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport, where he spoke publicly about his experience and maintained that he could not be intimidated or influenced.
Before returning to Anambra, Blord visited activist and politician Omoyele Sowore, whom he credited with supporting efforts that led to his release. He said he joined Sowore’s movement in appreciation of his intervention, describing the visit as a gesture of gratitude and claiming he had no prior personal contact with the activist before the case.

The controversy involving Blord follows earlier disputes tied to social media allegations over business practices, which he has previously denied. As of the time of this report, there has been no public response from activist Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, regarding Blord’s latest comments or his release from detention.
