The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has dismissed a viral result slip circulating online, which claimed that a candidate scored 394 in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination. The result, widely shared on social media, suggested near-perfect scores across four subjects for a candidate identified as being from Cross River State.
In its response, the board described the result as fabricated and not issued through its system. The examination body said the document did not originate from its official channels and should not be regarded as genuine by the public.
JAMB explained that current UTME results are accessible only through a restricted view format and are not available for printing or sharing in the manner seen in the viral post. It also pointed out discrepancies in the layout and presentation of the slip, noting that it does not match the board’s official result template.

The board further stated that the registration number on the document does not align with its standard system-generated format, highlighting several inconsistencies that indicate the result is not authentic. It has advised the public to rely only on verified information released through its official communication channels.
