3 dead, 17 injured in latest Russian attacks across Ukraine

At least three people have been killed and 17 others injured in a series of Russian attacks across Ukraine, according to regional officials.

In the eastern Donetsk region, authorities say two people died, and four were wounded in the past 24 hours, as Russian forces carried out 19 strikes damaging homes, infrastructure and a minibus. Fighting in the area has also forced the evacuation of more than 800 civilians, including children.

In the northeastern Sumy region, a 60-year-old woman was killed after a drone strike hit residential buildings, sparking fires. Officials said the victim died from carbon monoxide poisoning.

Further south in Odesa, overnight attacks struck civilian infrastructure, including a hospital, damaging key departments and injuring two people. The latest violence comes as United States-led efforts to end the war, which began with Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022, remain stalled.
