I no longer attend church physically says Funke Akindele

Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has explained why she no longer attends church services physically. She says she now prefers to worship online due to the level of attention she receives in church.

In a video shared on her Snapchat story, Akindele said she often becomes the focus of attention when she attends services, which distracts from worship. She added that this experience led her to switch to online participation.

The actress also recalled her earlier statements about her faith, noting that she was born and raised in the Celestial Church of Christ. She said she has maintained her spiritual connection privately over the years and continues to prioritise her relationship with God.
