The Obi-Kwankwaso Movement, aligned with Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso, has launched a grassroots mobilisation campaign across the South-East ahead of the 2027 general elections. Organisers say the initiative is aimed at strengthening political participation and expanding support structures in the region.
The movement was launched during meetings involving coordinators and supporters in South-East states, where participants discussed voter mobilisation and political engagement ahead of the next election cycle. Organisers said the effort would focus on community outreach and youth participation.
Supporters of the initiative said the movement intends to build alliances across communities while encouraging greater involvement in the democratic process. They added that mobilisation activities would continue in other parts of the country in the coming months.
