The Federal Government has arraigned three men before the Federal High Court in Abuja over their alleged involvement in the abduction of pupils and teachers from schools in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
Prosecutors accused the defendants of conspiring with two other suspects still at large to facilitate the kidnappings and of belonging to Darul Salam, described in court documents as an affiliate of the proscribed terrorist group Ansaru.
The 10-count charge includes terrorism-related offences, aiding kidnappers and failing to disclose information about the planned attacks to security agencies.
The defendants pleaded not guilty, and the court adjourned proceedings while ordering their continued remand.
