Angelique Kidjo to Become First African Honoured on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Beninese music icon Angelique Kidjo is set to become the first African artist to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The Grammy-winning singer was named among the 2026 honorees by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.

Other recipients include Miley Cyrus, Timothée Chalamet, Shaquille O’Neal, Deepika Padukone, Emily Blunt, Rachel McAdams, Lea Salonga, and Marion Cotillard.

While dates are yet to be confirmed, honorees have up to two years to schedule their induction ceremonies.
