The Borno State Police Command has arrested 210 suspects and secured 86 convictions in a state-wide crackdown on violent crime and drug-related offences.
Commissioner of Police Naziru Abdulmajid said the operation focused on curbing handset snatching, thuggery, and youth gangsterism, with support from community members across the state.

Among the items recovered were 58 sachets of tramadol, 395 wraps and one kilogramme of suspected Indian hemp, as well as various hard drugs including exzol, D5 and Ermo tablets.
Police also seized nine knives, 19 shisha pots and pipes, two customised antelope horns and multiple bottles of codeine syrup. Efforts are ongoing to sustain the security push and prevent further criminal activity.
