CF Montreal retains Nigeria’s Sunusi Ibrahim for 2025 season

Major League Soccer (MLS) club CF Montreal has retained former Nigeria U-23 forward Sunusi Ibrahim for the 2025 season. Sunusi is among 16 players confirmed to remain with the club as they prepare for the next campaign.  

The 22-year-old joined CF Montreal in 2021 and has scored 13 goals in 75 league appearances. He previously emerged as the top scorer in the Nigeria Premier Football League during the 2019 season, netting 10 goals in 22 matches.

Meanwhile, former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama has been released by the Canadian club, as part of their roster changes ahead of the new season.
