Manchester United forward Chido Obi has received top individual honours at the Maurice Revello Tournament in France, earning the ‘Player of the Tournament’ award after a standout showing for Denmark’s U20s.
The competition, formerly known as the unofficial youth world championship before FIFA’s U20 World Cup, remains a key stage for emerging global talent. Denmark finished third, beating Mexico 2-1 in the bronze medal match on Sunday.

Obi, 17, posted a photo of his trophy on Instagram, with Danish officials later confirming the award was presented by tournament organisers. The Nigeria-eligible striker scored twice and assisted once in four games.
His profile continues to grow rapidly. The teenager has already featured twice for Denmark’s U21s and made eight senior appearances for United last season, where he netted twice in a post-season friendly and earned the club’s Man of the Match award.
