A Federal High Court in Ikoyi has discharged nightclub owner Pretty Mike and club supervisor Joachim Hillary, ruling that the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency failed to establish a prima facie case against them.
Justice Ambrose Lewis-Alagoa upheld a no-case submission on Wednesday, bringing an end to the prosecution over alleged drug-related offences linked to a nightclub in Victoria Island, Lagos.
The agency had alleged that during an October 26 raid, officers recovered 169 cylinders of nitrous oxide and 200 grams of cannabis, said to be intended for an illegal drug party.

However, the court held that the prosecution failed to provide sufficient evidence linking the defendants to the substances, and both men were discharged without being called to enter a defence.
