A Federal High Court in Kaduna has granted bail of ₦200 million to former governor Nasir El-Rufai in a case involving alleged money laundering and fraud.
The presiding judge, Rilwani Aikawa, approved the bail on Tuesday, with conditions including the provision of a surety with landed property and a traditional title. El-Rufai is to remain in the custody of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission pending fulfilment of the conditions.
The anti-corruption agency had arraigned El-Rufai and co-defendant Joel Adoga on March 24 on a 10-count charge. Both men pleaded not guilty.
