The Lagos State Government has fully digitised its planning permit process, ending the use of manual applications for property approvals across the state.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on E-GIS and Urban Development, Dr Olajide Abiodun, said the transition took effect from 1 April 2026 under the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. He stated that all applications must now be processed through the Electronic Physical Planning Process System.
Dr Abiodun said the state has completed the deployment of computer systems and internet services across all planning offices, alongside full training of personnel. He warned that any manual processing of permits from the effective date is now illegal.
