Security operatives in Nasarawa State have rescued a kidnap victim and arrested three suspects.
The Department of State Services carried out the operation on Wednesday, at a kidnappers’ camp in Atabula, Duduguru community, in Obi Local Government Area.
Officials say operatives, acting on a tip-off, raided the camp, arrested one suspect, and freed the victim. They also burned down the camp and recovered cash and five mobile phones. Two other suspects were later tracked to a hotel in Lafia, the state capital, and arrested there.
Governor Abdullahi Sule commended the security agencies for the operation. He urged residents to keep sharing useful information with security agencies to help fight crime in the state.
