The ECOWAS Parliament has called for a harmonised legal framework to guide the use of Artificial Intelligence in education across West Africa.
Speaking in Dakar at a Joint Committee session on Education, Health, and Technology, Co-Chair Orlando Dias urged member states to embrace digital learning systems to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving world.

The committee advocated for a Community Act on AI, stressing the need for ethical, inclusive, and secure adoption of emerging technologies.
