Electricity: Nigeria Government set to end estimated billing by end of 2024

The Federal government has promised to end Estimated Billing by the end of this year, 2024. This position was stated by the Minister of Power, Mr. Adebayo Adelabu during his working tour of power facilities in Nigeria at the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC).

The Minister acknowledged that some 50% of customers still lack proper metering. Should the FG achieve this, it will be a completion of the mass metering drive instigated by the administration of former President Muhammed Buhari.

Joining us this morning is Kurutsi Tabki, a Renewable Energy Expert and 2022 Mandela Washington Fellow.
