The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor has joined the calls by rights groups and nations for an independent investigation into the discovery of dozens of mass graves in Gaza.
According to the group, which says its team members had witnessed the exhumation of hundreds of bodies found in the vicinity of Gaza City’s al-Shifa Hospital, some of the victims were handcuffed and executed.

In a statement, Euro-Med said the number of bodies that have been recovered is, in their own words, alarming, and requires urgent international action, including the formation of an independent international investigation committee.
Mid March this year, the Israel Defence Forces, IDF, launched an operation at Al-Shifa Hospital in northern Gaza on Monday, claiming senior Hamas terrorists were using the hospital, located in Gaza City, to conduct and promote terrorist activity.
