The Federal Government says it is considering the development of seven-star hotels, a modern entertainment arena, and the revitalisation of national museums through public-private partnerships to boost Nigeria’s tourism sector.
The projects were discussed during a meeting in Abuja between the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission and the Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy.
Tourism Minister Hannatu Musawa said Nigeria lacks the infrastructure needed to host major global entertainment events, adding that many Nigerians travel abroad for such activities, resulting in economic losses.
