The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated ₦1 billion to victims of recent communal clashes in Plateau State, during a solidarity visit on behalf of the Renewed Hope Initiative, RHI.
The donation, which also included food items and clothing, was announced as part of broader support to communities affected by the unrest. Her media aide, Busola Kukoyi, confirmed the gesture in a statement issued on Wednesday.

While addressing local leaders, Senator Tinubu appealed for renewed efforts toward lasting peace, urging elders, men, and youth to prioritise unity and protect vulnerable groups, especially women and children.
She recalled being welcomed to the state known as the land of peace and tourism, and expressed hope that Plateau would live up to that ideal.
Governor Caleb Mutfwang thanked the First Lady, pledging that the assistance would be used judiciously.
