First Lady sympathizes with families of deceased in Oyo Stampede

The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has condoled the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde and the people of Oyo State on the tragedy that occurred on Wednesday, 18th of December 2024 where 35 children lost their lives, while six others were critically injured in a stampede.

Mrs. Tinubu, while expressing her grief over the sad event, prayed for the speedy recovery and healing for those who are still in the hospital.

In a statement on Thursday, the Oyo State Police Command spokesman, Adewale Osifeso, said the organisers of the event, including the main sponsor, Naomi Silekunola, the estranged wife of the Ooni of Ile-Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, and her media partner, Agidigbo FM, the principal of the school, and five others, have been arrested in connection with the tragedy.
