Nigerian gospel artists Nathaniel Bassey, Mercy Chinwo, and Moses Bliss have made significant strides on the global music stage, ranking among the most-streamed Nigerian acts on YouTube Music for the first quarter of 2025. Nathaniel Bassey led with 52.8 million streams, followed closely by Mercy Chinwo with 46.4 million, and Moses Bliss with 41.5 million streams, according to data compiled by Debut Hub.
Mercy Chinwo’s hit track “Excess Love” remains her standout, amassing an impressive 133 million plays, while Nathaniel Bassey’s popular songs like “Yahweh Sabaoth” and “TOBECHUKWU” have also made major waves. Moses Bliss, known for his uplifting gospel tracks, continues to captivate audiences worldwide.

Rema dominated the global rankings with an outstanding 223 million streams, buoyed by his smash hit “Calm Down,” which features Selena Gomez and now boasts an incredible 2.5 billion plays. Other leading Nigerian artists, including Burna Boy, Davido, Wizkid, and Ayra Starr, also made strong appearances in the top 20.
