Gov. Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has approved the payment of 13th-month salary to Edo civil and public servants.
During an interactive session with civil and public servants between Grade Levels 8 and 17 in Benin City, the governor commended the workers for their support to his administration over the past six years.
While calling for greater government-workers synergy, he assured the people of his administration’s commitment to develop the Benin Port and other projects aimed at placing the state on the path of sustainable economic growth and development.

The governor further said that everything he had done since he assumed office was to put the workers, whom he calls ‘the heart and the engine of Edo’, where they really belong.
He called on the workers to play an active part in his administration’s journey towards ensuring the sustainability of the reforms he has embarked upon.
