Actress Wasila Isma’il has died at the age of 46 after a period of illness. Her death was announced on Sunday by her ex-husband, Al Amin Chiroma, in a post on Instagram.
Chiroma said the actress died at the Federation of Muslim Women Associations of Nigeria (FOMWAN) hospital in Kaduna. He prayed for her soul to rest in peace, adding that she had been receiving treatment at the facility.
Although the cause of death was not disclosed, sources said Isma’il had been battling an undisclosed illness for some time before her passing.

Wasila Isma’il was a prominent figure in the Hausa-language film industry, known as Kannywood. She began her acting career in 1998 and rose to prominence after her role in the 1999 film ‘Wasila’
