Lagos State Govt. Reopens Odo Iya Alaro Bridge After Rehabilitation

The Odo Iya Alaro Bridge in the Maryland area of Lagos State has been reopened after a temporary closure less than two months ago.

The announcement was made by the state Commissioner for Transport, Oluwaseun Osiyemi. The rehabilitation, which was carried out by the state Ministry of Works, began on Monday, July 22, 2024.

The bridge was reopened by Deputy Governor Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, ahead of schedule. The rehabilitation work was billed to last 90-days, but the project has been completed in under two months.

The commissioner said delivering the project ahead of time was a testament to what he labelled as the exceptional dedication of all involved.
