President Bola Tinubu and Saint Lucian Prime Minister Philip Pierre have agreed to formalise diplomatic relations between Nigeria and Saint Lucia.
The announcement followed Tinubu’s courtesy visit to Pierre’s residence in Castries on day two of his state visit.

In a statement, Presidential Spokesperson Bayo Onanuga said Tinubu described Saint Lucians as “valued friends and brothers,” stressing shared historical and cultural ties.
The leaders pledged to strengthen cooperation in trade, tourism, education, and consular services to deepen bilateral engagement.
