Ruger is set to return to the music scene after his ex-partner reportedly filed a lawsuit against him seeking damages for alleged emotional distress, according to a statement shared on Wednesday by Blown Boy Entertainment, Ruger’s management. The statement confirmed that the singer had been away from the music scene due to the legal battle with his former partner.
Addressing his fans, known as the RU Nation, the management said that a chapter of the singer’s life is now over, and Ruger is fully focused on his music career while assuring fans that he has been working on new projects and is ready to return to doing what he loves most.
The statement explained that for some time, Ruger was caught up in a series of personal challenges after someone he dated decided to sue him for alleged emotional distress and damages, but that chapter is now behind him, and a new chapter begins with a new energy emerging. The management added that Ruger is back to doing what he loves most, making music, and that he has been cooking.

Blown Boy Entertainment also thanked fans for standing by the artiste during his quiet period and announced that Ruger is scheduled to perform in several locations this summer, including Belgium, Málaga, Bali, Malawi, and the United States, stating that August belongs to them and urging fans to stay tuned, enjoy their summer, and get ready for what is next.
