At least 43 Palestinians were killed in Israeli air strikes on Monday, according to medical sources, pushing the overall death toll in the conflict to over 56,000.
Among the dead were 20 civilians reportedly shot while attempting to collect food at distribution centres run by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, GHF, an aid group backed by the US and Israel but criticised by the UN for allegedly politicising relief efforts.

Eyewitnesses describe scenes of chaos as desperate families risk their lives for food amid worsening famine conditions. Aid centres have now been branded “death traps” by critics, with more than 400 Palestinians killed and 1,000 injured near such locations since GHF operations began in late May.
Middle East media house, Al Jazeera, reports continuing Israeli strikes on tents and homes, even as tensions with Iran deepen. Humanitarian agencies warn the situation is spiraling beyond control.
