The Senate has approved the 2025 Statutory Appropriation Bill for the Federal Capital Territory, allocating a total of ₦1.81 trillion for the fiscal year.
The budget includes ₦150.35 billion for personnel, ₦352.03 billion for overheads, and ₦1.31 trillion for capital projects, representing over 72% of the total outlay.

Senator Mohammed Ibrahim presented the joint committee report, which harmonised contributions from both chambers and followed consultations with the FCT Minister and key stakeholders.
The spending plan aims to improve infrastructure and services across Abuja and its satellite towns, in line with projected revenues for the year.
