At least seven people have been killed in an early morning attack by armed men on Channel One, a border settlement in Ukemberagya/Tswarev Council Ward of Logo Local Government Area in Benue State. Witnesses say the attack took place at about 1 a.m. on Sunday, with several others sustaining serious injuries.
Residents say the attackers arrived on motorcycles and opened fire on the community, causing panic as people fled their homes. The injured were taken to medical facilities in Anyiin, while at least seven critically wounded victims were referred to Ugba for further treatment.
A community leader, Chief Joseph Anawah, identified the deceased as Akor Gwakyaa, Msooter Gwakyaa, Aondoungwa Michael, Vershima Michael, Terna Michael, Msughter Terzungwe, and one other person yet to be identified.

The Chairman of Logo Local Government Area, Clement Kav, confirmed the incident, stating that seven people were killed and four others injured. The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Udeme Edet, says she has not yet been briefed on the attack.
