The Super Falcons have climbed one place to 36th in the latest FIFA women’s world rankings released on Tuesday, despite not featuring in the most recent international break.

The team had dropped to 37th in December 2025 and only played a double-header friendly against Cameroon in March, losing the first match before winning the second.

Nigeria remain the highest-ranked team in Africa, more than 20 places ahead of second-placed South Africa in 58th. Ghana, Morocco and Zambia complete the continent’s top five.
