TikTok personality Oladimeji Hammed, also known as Immunizer, has been arraigned before an Ikeja magistrates’ court in Lagos for allegedly harassing Omowunmi Cynthia, widow of the late singer Mohbad, on a six-count charge including cyberstalking, bullying, and publishing harmful, insulting, and provocative content.
Prosecutors alleged that between February 8 and March 14, Hammed published a series of harmful content against Omowunmi, including a claim that she was planning to flee Nigeria before justice was served in her husband’s death, attaching her passport photograph to the post. He also allegedly published content suggesting that Omowunmi had failed to deny allegations of infidelity during court proceedings and shared material claiming that private content belonging to the singer’s widow had been leaked online.
On March 14, the defendant allegedly published a video containing derogatory remarks and accusations against Omowunmi, suggesting she was involved in a hidden agenda relating to her late husband’s affairs. The final count alleged that he published nude images and other content intended to humiliate, harass, and bully her.
The prosecution told the court that the alleged online attacks exposed Omowunmi to public ridicule, hatred, trolling, and physical threats, and contributed to an incident on March 15 in which she was publicly confronted and nearly assaulted by members of the public. Hammed pleaded not guilty to all charges. The court admitted him to bail on strict conditions, including two sureties who must each provide evidence of a bank balance of at least N700,000, with one surety required to be a state civil servant and the other a blood relative of the defendant, both required to provide evidence of up-to-date tax compliance.
