The draft Executive Bill on state policing will be presented to President Bola Tinubu for review on September 3, according to Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila.
Speaking after a meeting of the Presidential Working Group, Gbajabiamila said the committee is following a seven-week work programme to produce a legal framework for a dual federal and state policing system.
The process includes public consultations, legal drafting and implementation planning. After the President’s review, the bill will be refined before being transmitted to the National Assembly.
