The Ogun State Government has announced Friday, November 15, as a work-free day for all civil servants, allowing them to return to their respective local areas to participate in upcoming local government elections.
The announcement was made on Thursday by Emmanuel Ojo, Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the Governor. He said that the decision underscores the state government’s commitment to inclusiveness and participatory democracy. Permanent Secretaries and heads of agencies have been instructed to ensure full compliance with the directive.
The elections are scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 16, across Ogun State’s 20 local government areas and 237 wards.
