The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has announced that it arrested 38 suspected drug traffickers and seized over 339,000kg of illicit substances in 2024 at the Tincan Island Port Strategic Command in Lagos State.
Speaking at a press briefing on Thursday in Lagos, the NDLEA Commander, Mitchell Ofoyeju, detailed the haul, which included Codeine, Tapentadol, Tafradol, Cannabis Indica, Methamphetamine, Cocaine, and Heroin. The confiscated drugs are estimated to be worth N134.2 billion.

Commander Ofoyeju also said that the agency had secured 12 convictions during the year, while 26 cases remain under prosecution in the courts.
