The Katsina State Police Command says it has rescued 30 kidnapped victims and recovered 92 rustled sheep and goats, along with two cows, following an attack in Faskari Local Government Area.
Police spokesman, DSP Abubakar Sadiq, said suspected armed bandits attacked Unguwar Sarkin Fulani, Dutsen Dadi via Tafoki village, kidnapping residents and stealing livestock. Upon receiving the report, the Divisional Police Officer in Faskari mobilised a patrol team, which ambushed the suspects and engaged them in a fierce gun battle. The kidnappers fled with injuries, while all victims were rescued unharmed, and the stolen animals recovered.

The Commissioner of Police in Katsina, CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa, commended the officers for their bravery and professionalism. He urged residents to continue supporting the command by providing timely and accurate information to aid security efforts.
