Suspected bandits have abducted thirty-two people, mostly nursing women and children, from Shuwaki village in Bakori Local Government, Katsina State.
The incident occurred on August 1. Former local government chairman, Alhaji Aminu Magaji confirmed the incident to the press on Sunday, adding that the kidnappers spent over two hours searching every household in the village during the attack. Sheep and cattle were also taken.
No official statement has been made by the state government or security forces.
