Bandits have killed two people and abducted six others in Unguwar Aminu, a community in Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina State. The Tuesday night attack also left four residents with gunshot wounds and saw attackers rustle livestock and loot shops.
Residents said the gunmen were earlier sighted moving from Doma in neighbouring Faskari before striking.
Police had not confirmed the incident at the time of reporting. The attack is the latest in a string of raids across Bakori communities since late July, including a clash where the Katsina government said security forces killed more than 40 suspected bandits, and a separate attack that resulted in the kidnapping of 31 people.
