At least 70 Palestinians were reported killed on Wednesday in a fresh wave of Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip. This is according to local health officials. The surge in attacks coincided with U.S. President Donald Trump’s ongoing visit to the Middle East.
Medical teams said the majority of casualties, including women and children, came from strikes on residential areas in Jabalia, northern Gaza. Residents were later seen combing through rubble for possessions and identification documents.

The Israeli military offered no immediate comment but confirmed it was reviewing reports.
Meanwhile, Israeli media, citing unnamed security sources, suggested Hamas commander Mohammad Sinwar may have been killed in an earlier strike targeting a suspected command post beneath the European Hospital in Khan Younis.
Palestinians are hoping US President Trump’s visits to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE will prompt diplomatic pressure for de-escalation.
Hamas recently released Edan Alexander, the final known American hostage.
