The Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Mr. Ahmed Dangiwa, has inaugurated a 12-member ministerial committee to oversee the evaluation and disposal of a 753-unit housing estate recovered from former Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele.
The estate, situated in the Lokogoma district of Abuja, was recently handed over to the Ministry by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission following a directive from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The committee, chaired by the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Mr. Shuaib Belgore, is tasked with conducting quality assessments on the structures, completing outstanding works, and recommending disposal strategies in line with national housing policy.
Speaking at the inauguration in Abuja, the Minister described the assignment as a national duty, aimed at swiftly converting the asset into secure and affordable homes.
