NDLEA Uncovers Synthetic Cannabis Lab in Lagos Home

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has uncovered a laboratory producing “colorado,” a potent synthetic strain of cannabis, inside a residential building in Ajao Estate, Isolo, Lagos.

The anti-narcotics agency said its operatives raided the property on October 30, arresting 30-year-old Stephen Kelechi Imoh, the alleged operator, and seizing over 16 kilograms of freshly produced drugs and precursor chemicals.

The NDLEA said the discovery followed months of intelligence after earlier seizures of the same substance, indicating local production was replacing imports. Another raid in Mushin led to the arrest of a suspected dealer, Afeez Salisu, with 16 blocks of Ghana loud and designer colorado products.

In a related operation, NDLEA arrested musician ‘Steady Boy’ in Lekki after intercepting 77 kilograms of cannabis concealed in imported bathtubs from New York.
