Diplomatic efforts to end the ongoing US-Israel conflict involving Iran remain uncertain, as Tehran insists it will not enter negotiations under what it describes as the “shadow of threats.” The standoff continues to raise tensions across the region, with no clear breakthrough in sight.
US President Donald Trump has said the blockade on Iranian ports will remain in place until Tehran agrees to a deal. He argued that sustained economic pressure is intended to force Iran back to the negotiating table and influence its key energy buyers, including India and China, to tighten their stance.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that indirect and direct diplomatic engagements are still being planned, including possible talks in Pakistan and a separate round of discussions involving US and Iranian representatives. The US Vice President is also expected to travel to Islamabad for consultations linked to a potential agreement aimed at ending hostilities, according to media reports.

On the ground, fighting continues to escalate in parts of the region, with Israel reportedly carrying out fresh strikes in southern Lebanon despite a ceasefire arrangement. Several people have been injured and homes destroyed, further complicating peace efforts as international stakeholders push for renewed negotiations in Washington later this week.
