Nine Killed In Israeli Strikes On Southern Lebanon

At least nine people have been killed in Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon, despite an extended United States-mediated ceasefire, according to the country’s National News Agency. The strikes were reported on Thursday across several municipalities, including Jebchit, Toul and Harouf.

Local officials said three people were killed and seven were injured in Jebchit after a residential building was destroyed, while four people died in Toul and two others in Harouf. Additional artillery shelling was reported in nearby towns, including Zawtar al-Sharqiyah and Yohmor al-Shaqif.

In the past 24 hours, more than 20 people have reportedly been killed in separate air attacks, including Lebanese soldiers and paramedics, with over 70 others injured. Israeli forces have also issued new displacement warnings for at least 15 towns and villages in the region.
