Troops of the Joint Task Force North West, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have rescued 13 kidnap victims and foiled planned terrorist operations across Zamfara State.
Acting on credible intelligence, troops engaged armed terrorists heading toward Tungan Kudaduku in Anka Local Government Area, during which they discovered and dismantled a makeshift camp and rescued five victims.
In a separate operation at Ungwan Rogo in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area, troops repelled another band of terrorists following a fierce gun battle, rescuing eight additional victims and recovering two vehicles.
Military spokesperson Lt. Col. Aliyu Danja confirmed that all victims were rescued unharmed and handed over to authorities, emphasising ongoing troop dominance across the region.
