The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) is set to transform transport and logistics across the continent, with demand projected for 2.2 million trucks, 243 aircraft, 169,000 rail wagons, and over 130 vessels—collectively worth over $410 billion by 2045, according to Afreximbank.
At a Lagos roadshow, Afreximbank’s Gain More Zanamwe warned that inadequate road, rail, air and sea infrastructure could hamper progress.

He criticised Nigeria’s absence in the vehicle manufacturing space, blaming inconsistent auto policies.
